Profile 

Patricia Leers has professional expertise in the insurance sector in which she worked on claims management for a period of ten years. She uses this valuable expertise in an optimal way in her practice. 

She obtained her law degree, a Master in Maritime and Fluvial Law and a Master Degree in Business Law from the University of Antwerp. 

As a result of her extensive expertise in international business, she developed AntwerpLaw into the reputed independant international law firm it is today. 

Together with Dirk De Beule, she wrote a practical handbook regarding arrest of ships, which was awarded with the Maritime Award of the Belgian Ship Owners Association. This book is unique as it contains a significant number of unreported case-law.
