Profile 

Greet completed her Belgian law degree at the Catholic University of Leuven in 1994.

After these studies, she obtained a Masters’ degree, focused on Labour Law at University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. 

She decided to remain in South Africa and was appointed as a researcher on Discrimination in Employment at the University of Stellenbosch.

Afterwards, she joined the law firm Chennells Brümmer & Associates in Cape Town as an associate consultant from 1996 to May 1999. 

Since then, Greet established her own practice in Cape Town, were she practices labour law and labour relations.

Since August 2004, she has also been appointed as a part-time CCMA Commissioner (arbitrator and mediator). The CCMA (Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration) is a statutory dispute resolution body that handles the vast majority of all labour disputes in South Africa. She also serves on the panels of other dispute resolution bodies.

Greet has become A-Law’s legal advisor and Belgian liaison partner in South Africa, due to her extensive experience in South African law.
