Sector policy update in the Gambia: energy, building and infrastructure

During our participation to the trade event organized by C&M Corporate & Management bvba from 4^th till 8^th of November 2017, we had the privilege to participate to the validation session of the new Policy for building and infrastructure of the Gambia in presence of the Minister of Roads, Work and Infrastructure.

 In light of the UNCTAD Investment Policy review for the Gambia, the energy, building and infrastructure sector are together with the security, agro-business and light manufacturing sector the prime sectors for foreign targeted investment and the allocations from the different international financial institutions underline their importance.

 Other indicators of the readiness of the Gambian market for investment are the increase by Credendo of its score for the Gambia allowing coverage of financial risks.

Gambia has an adapted legal and institutional framework on investment protection in place.  

Where our neighbors are about to re-open diplomatic and economic representations in the Gambia, there is no time to waste for the Belgian stakeholders from the key sectors to discover the new opportunities in this new market.
