Vladimir Marinescu

Vladimir started his career as a lawyer in 2007.  

He combines extensive experience in multiple areas of law with excellent litigation skills.  Throughout his career Vladimir developed a keen interest in Tax Law, being an external editor for several publishers in Bucharest and having published articles, books and research work in this matter. Thanks to his in-depth knowledge of the Romanian and European legal framework, Vladimir developed into a specialist in finding tax-efficient solutions for current and future transactions, tax audits and appeals at court and the tax authorities.  He has further gained hands-on experience with regard to the recovery of cross-border tax claims, tax fraud and tax evasion cases; all this combined with the commercial, civil and other law issues that are usually directly linked with the tax issues.

Between 2010 and 2012 he was Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the West University of Timisoara.  From November 2012 until December 2014 Vladimir Marinescu was course Director in the Public Law Department at the Academy of European Law in Trier, Germany, organizing seminars and conferences on Tax Law, Trade Law and Data protection Law.

Vladimir is a regular guest speaker at seminars and training courses organized by CECCAR (Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania). He is also auditor/consultant at International Tax Conference “EU Tax Law and its Impact at National Level” and “Changes of the Romanian tax system – Law provisions applicable from 1st of January 2007 in Romania”.

In the light of the above, Vladimir recently became head of the local team at the Timisoara office.
