Het Hof van Justitie van de EU heeft in haar uitspraak d.d. 28 juli 2016 bepaald dat nationale regelgeving bestaande uit de toekenning van gerechtskosten in de vorm van forfaitaire bedragen toelaatbaar is. Het betrof hier een geding tussen United Video Properties Inc.
