Legal Counsel Remy Takang Arrey studied for his Bachelor of Laws LL. B (Hons.) at University of Buea, Cameroon. He is a Member of the Cameroon Bar Association and enrolled as a Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Cameroon, and a Notary Public. He subsequently obtained an Advanced LL.M (Distinction) on International, European & Business law at the Institute for European Studies, VUB, Brussels, Belgium. The programme covered EU economic law, EU competition law, EU external relations, international Law, comparative Law, international economic law, business law, EU institutional & judicial framework and Private International law. He further studies for an LLM in Intellectual Property and ICT Law at KU Leuven (Brussels Campus). The programme covered International and EU Copyright law, International and EU Trademark law, International and EU Patents, Emerging Technologies, EU Electronic Communication Law, Media law, Cybercrime Law, Electronic Business law, EU Privacy and data protection , EU Electronic Contracts law,Design Law. Additionally, Remy holds an M.Sc in Globalisation and Development from the University of Antwerp, Belgium. The programme covered courses such as Trade policy, Financial globalisation, Value Chains and Labour, Access to Labour and products markets, Access to financial services, Negotiation, collaboration and mediation and Economic and institutional development.

Remy previously worked as  ligation lawyer with a Law Office in Cameroon where he defended the interest of both International and domestic clients in and out of the courts. He further serves as legal advisor to a couple of non-governmental organisations in Cameroon and doubles as their Diaspora representative. He has authored articles that has been published on different domestic and international platforms on a broad range of legal issues.
