On May 15th 2018 Managing Partner Patricia Leers will hold a lecture on the Vietnam - Europe trade relations at the Hanoi Promotion Agency, the merged Hanoi foreign trade and investment agency of the relevant departments including the Department of Planning and Investment.

Mrs P. Leers will thereby elaborate on the latest EU initiatives and new trade instruments to become applicable to Vietnam as from 1 january 2019.

A practical insight and useful tips for the Vietnamese enterprises in due preparation of the implementation of the EUVFTA ( Eu Vietnam Free Trade agreement ) expected by the end of 2018/ 2019 and the simultaneous abolition of the GSA (Generalised System of Preferences).

With regard to foreign direct investment, the position of Belgium as the hub to Europe and Africa (through the Port of Antwerp) and its pioneering role as the European testing market will be highlighted.

The aim of the new Eu Intra-Corporate Transfer Permit Directive concerning the transfer /posting of non-EU managers and specialists to European/Belgian subsidiaries and the conditions of their stay in Europe will be clarified within the context of the European sectoral policies.
