A-Law participated to Belgian Economic Mission to DR Congo ( March 2022 )
From the 19th of March to the 25 of March 2022 A-Law International Law Firm participated to the multi-sectoral Economic and Trade mission to the Democratic Republic of Congo led by Rudi Vervoort (Minister-President of the Brussels Region).
A-Law has built a strong clients portfolio, foundation and reputation in creating a bridge of knowledge and business between Belgium and DR Congo. With the presence of African lawyers and A-Law’s Managing Partner Dirk De Beule acting as representative of OHADA in Antwerp, Belgium, A-Law attorneys in-house knowledge of Africa legal systems creates value for A-Law customers
A-Law participation in this Trade Mission is a reconfirmation of our focus on DR Congo, second-largest country in Africa.
DRC is currently experiencing a demographic boom: its population will have more than doubled by 2030, 80% of whom are under 25. The country has been maintaining a steady economic growth (6% to 7%) for the past five years.
Both in terms of infrastructure and resources, the DRC is showing the most considerable growth potential of all African countries.
“The main message was ‘come back, come back to Congo, we still have beautiful pages of history to write together’,” the Brussels Prime Minister said at the end of the mission, his first official visit to the DRC.
