Organic certification regulation - EU and USA

A-Law International Law Firm was consulted by a Colombian exporter regarding the revocation of a bio certification issued as per the organic standards for the EU (regulation Europe EC 834/07) and the NOP standards (USA).
Following the defense made up by A-Law International team, the revocation was rescinded and a settlement agreement was reached.
Organic certification is a certification process for producers of organic foods and other agricultural products.
Any business directly involved in food production can be certified, from farmers, suppliers of seed, food processing entities, restaurants, retailers.
More specifically on competition and consumer law matters, A-LAW has experience in domestic and cross border markets with:
