MOFCOF issued Foreign Investment Statistical System (2016)

Recently, the Ministry of Commerce has issued the Foreign Investment Statistical System (2016) (the "System") for implementation as of May 2016.

In accordance with the related requirements of government statistics and investigation of projects, approved by the State Statistics Bureau, the Ministry of Commerce amended and compiled this System. The System defines the statistics objects and scope, which is applicable to the local competent commerce administrative departments at all levels, the state's comprehensive departments and entities with utilization of foreign investments, and the foreign-funded enterprises and cooperative development projects within China.

The System is amended accordingly as follows: adjust the structure and contents of "I. General Information" according to the standard text format for the department-specific statistical survey items and specify in the General Information the statistical survey method under the System, i.e., complete survey; supplement the relevant indicators in the Statistical Sheet of the Operating Conditions of Foreign-invested Enterprises according to the Joint Report on the Annual Investment Operation Information of Foreign-invested Enterprises (2015); and also collate and summarize the explanation to the small indicators by an additional "IV. Explanations to Main Indicators".
