Czech Republic
"If you want to defend your authority, you must know three times as much as your opponents."
"Chceš-li si obhájit autoritu, musíš vědět třikrát tolik jako tvůj odpůrce."
František Palacký
Why trade or invest in Czech Republic?
Even though the Czech Republic has a fast growing economy since it’s accession to the EU, the labor and living costs still stay lower than in Western Europe.
The Czech Republic has become an indispensable partner in global aerospace supply chains. The local industry’s strength that makes it attractive to major aerospace firms consists in the ability to develop and integrate structural components into a wide range of aircrafts, engines and systems. The Czech automotive industry is a global brand with outstanding references. As a result of its long industrial tradition and ability to compete at the global level, the Czech Republic has one of the highest concentrations of automotive manufacturing, design and R&D activity in the world.
The Czech Republic’s high-level technical know-how has been shared over centuries, resulting in the world-class level of today’s mechanical engineers, who are the sector’s greatest asset.
Mechanical engineering plays a major role in the Czech economy and the large concentration of mechanical-engineering companies makes the Czech Republic an engineering hub. The sector supplies complete equipment and machinery including turbines, transportation and air-conditioning equipment; agricultural, food processing and construction machinery; and machine tools.
Another upcoming sector with interest for foreign investors is the environmental, waste and pollution remediation projects, very often funded by EU funds.
