Through the presence of in-house lawyers coming from customs departments, the combined knowledge of law and practice of customs is available at A-LAW.
More specifically on customs and excise law, A-LAW has experience in domestic and cross border market with:
- Council Regulation No 2913/92 of 12 October 1992 establishing the Community Customs Code and additional Commission Regulation regarding implementing provisions of the Code;
- Belgian General law on customs and excise;
- Advice and guidance regarding the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO);
- Advice and guidance concerning the application to become a custom agent / custom broker;
- Dispute resolution and litigation in customs matters including seizure of plagiarism goods, wrong classification of goods, custom fines and so on.
