Environmental Law

Environmental law aims to protect the environment and is part of the sustainable development policy of the countries.  It addresses the effect of human activity on the natural environment.

The regulations related thereto refer to waste management, environmental impact assessment, air and water quality, the removal of contaminants such as asbestos, forest and mineral resources and so on.

In most countries the polluter pays principle applies and involves environmental remediation.

When purchasing industrial property the validity and completeness of the environmental licenses need to be checked and controlled with regard to ownership and the activity to be deployed on the premises.

In the context of warehousing and transportation facilities, imports and exports of substances, aspects of specific legislation as the REACH regulation for chemical substances, need to be addressed.  See in this respect the description in the area of support on LOGISTICS.
