The North Gauteng High Court was asked in an urgent application to hear South Africa's first “Right to die” case.  True to the common law tradition one does not necessarily have to wait for the legislature to enact new legislation.

The EU Committee of Experts of the Czech government approved the nominee Michael Bobek, who is a professor of European law at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium and  a researcher at the Institute of European and Comparative Law at the Faculty of Law at the University of Oxford.

Social contributions for the self-employed thoroughly reformed. Since the 1st of January social contributions for self-employed people are re-calculated. Until 2015 independent entrepreneurs had to pay quarterly contributions based on their income of three years ago.
