Minimum Remuneration indexed to certain categories of employees of foreign nationality

Certain categories of foreign workers must be in possession of a B work permit before they can be employed in Belgium.
For certain categories of foreign workers there should exist a certain minimum salary. This was recently indexed for certain categories eg.
- The category of highly skilled personnel should receive a minimum wage in 2017, amounting to 40.124.00 euros gross per year;
- The category of staff who hold a managerial position should receive a minimum wage in 2017, amounting to 66.942.00 euros gross per year;
- The category of performing artists should receive a minimum wage in 2017, amounting to 33.471.00 euros gross per year.
Also for employment under an EU Blue Card, the minimum annual salary was adjusted. For the year 2017, the annual gross minimum wage was increased to 51.882.00 euros.
