Seminar - Doing Business with Nigeria (12/03)

As reported by the BBC, Nigeria has recently increased it World Bank's Doing Business rating, up to 15 places:
"The country now ranks 131 on the World Bank's Doing Business 2020 index, released Wednesday. The west African nation moved up 15 places from its 2019 spot and has been tagged as one of the most improved economies in the world for running a business."
Looking at the credit rating of the country by Credendo it is a great development for Belgian/International companies to note that they have recently upgraded Nigeria to 5/7, see: https://www.credendo.com/country-news/nigeria-mlt-political-risk-rating-upgraded-67-57
Partly for this reason we are organizing a seminar on “Doing Business with Nigeria” (the largest economy in Africa and the biggest oil producer, the largest proven reserves in the region) in our offices in Antwerp on 12th of March 2020 from 10am - 1pm under the motto of “ the rise of the giant of Africa: largest economy in Africa, new opportunities for trade and investment ”.
The seminar will take place in the presence of the Ambassador/Charges d'Affaires of Nigeria.
This in the presence of, among others, DEME, CREDENDO and The Belgium Luxembourg Nigeria Chamber of Commerce (BLNCC).
DEME will share their experience in the dredging sector in Nigeria, where the BLNCC will share their insight on the "Doing Business Culture" of the country.
The "Legal and Institutional Framework" to consider while trading or investing shall be elaborated upon by our in-house Head Nigeria Desk lawyer, followed by an overview of “ the opportunities within the economic fabric of Nigeria”.
As investing and trading with a country demand risk analyses and financing Credendo will share their insights and forecasts of the country (which they recently upgraded to 5/7, see: https://www.credendo.com/country-news/nigeria-mlt-political-risk-rating-upgraded-67-57 )
