Valentina Talmazan graduated as a Masters of Law from the State University of Moldova, Republic of Moldova.

She started her career in Moldova working at the Customs department where she was trained in all legal aspects with regard to the execution of compliance due diligence with local and international customs legislation. Part of the work further related to the defense of economic stakeholders in customs procedures.

She further acted as in-house lawyer and claims handler at an international logistics provider.

Determined to add value to her legal career, Valentina joined the international team of A-Law in order to become regional representative of Moldova.  Being involved in international trade and investment projects with and/or to Moldova allows an in-depth comparative overview of the ongoing legislative reforms in the light of the Moldova-European Union association agreement.

The Moldova–European Union Association Agreement is a treaty between the European Union (EU) and Moldova that establishes a political and economic association between the two parties.

The agreement commits Moldova to economic, judicial and financial reforms to converge its policies and legislation to those of the European Union.
